Easter at the Carlyle
**squeak of excitement**
Shortly after I graduated I lived on the upper east side. I had a part time job at The Economist, and a part time job at Lilly Pulitzer on Madison Ave and I was thriving on carbs and cheap drinks.
This was when I first heard about The Carlyle and it became my forever hotel crush. I finally had the opportunity to stay there this year and let me just say, it did not disappoint.
The lobby itself is filled with fresh florals and a team that makes everyone feel like they belong.
A pre dinner drink anyone?
I enjoyed my Jackie O ( X-Rated Passion fruit Infused Vodka | Grey Goose | Lime Juice | Champagne Float | Fresh Thyme)
but Bemelmans has something for everyone.
All the spaces are beautiful but for some reason this little corner of the hotel really caught my eye. I imagined chatting away in a fancy dress discussing the genius of Dorothy Draper and where to get late night buffalo chicken.
I also really loved this little statue —>
-STEAK DIANE anyone?
immediately yes.
I wasted no time getting comfortable
and day dreaming of designing a new mural for my window view. (I have sketches!)
Before leaving the hotel, or just every day while you’re there and just need a little chat go visit the concierge. If you ask nicely they might show you a pet gala collage and feathers from a certain somebody’s Met Gala Gown. Also they probably have umbrellas?
